Should a person always be more answerable for not being idiomatic or grammatical if you know he or she is a lyricist / poet / writer by profession? Personally, I'm very careful not to commit "blunders" such as She don't got no friends yet she's happy like I are because my EFL students might be picking something up when reading my words. That said, I still believe flexibility should lie in everyday talks. It's said that meticulous Grammar Nazis usually end up living and dying aloneā€¦
